Job Opportunity: EP Lab Registered Nurse
Location: Burbank, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Outpatient Electrophysiology (EP) Registered Nurse role in an ambulatory cardiology office.
- Supports EP Device Division with remote report and alert management.
- Provides higher-level patient advice, triages urgent symptoms, and supervises stress tests.
- Adult cardiac patient population only.
- Charting system: EPIC.
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM).
- Weekend and on-call shifts are not required.
- No floating between units required.
- Local candidates accepted but not required.
- ASAP start preferred, with a 2-week preferred start window.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California.
- Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Device management experience.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Social Security Card (as applicable).
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
- Education verification for nursing degree (required if internationally educated).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work.
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination accepted.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable documentation.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer with acceptable documentation.
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or declination accepted.
- COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies.
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instant tests acceptable with attestation.
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use (travel only).
- Fit mask testing required annually for travel candidates.
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
Additional Notes
- No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
- No weekend or on-call shifts.
- No floating between units.
- Must complete required Epic training modules as assigned.
- Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background).
- Employment application must include at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for any gaps or overlaps.
