MRI Tech Travel Opportunity
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures. Support other imaging technologists as needed and help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. Troubleshoot basic maintenance issues, participate in quality assurance (QA), and resolve image processing and archiving system problems. Provide basic MRI screening of patients and employees, prepare maintenance and repairs, and ensure MRI safety compliance. Flexibility to work different shifts and at other campuses as required.
Work Schedule
- Shift rotation with one other associate
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 11:30 AM – 12:00 AM
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Valid MRI Technologist license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT or ARMRIT certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to core values and departmental policies including professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability
- Collaborate with management, coworkers, and physicians to promote staff growth and physician satisfaction
- Adapt patient assessment and care methods to meet unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-specific needs
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and hospital policies and standards of care
- Perform MRI examinations and procedures to assist patient throughput within scope of licensure and competencies
- Ensure completed exams are properly scanned and stored in PACS; follow PACS downtime procedures as a superuser
- Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions and follow up appropriately
- Participate in ongoing education, safety initiatives, and technical advancements within licensure scope

- Must demonstrate flexibility to work other shifts and locations as needed
- Strong communication and behavior skills aligned with organizational mission and culture are expected
