Med/Surg / Skilled Nursing Nurse (Night Shift) – California

Job Details

Location: King City, California
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

Provide nursing care for non-critical pediatric patients.
Float to the Skilled Nursing Department as needed.
Must have experience with Cerner electronic health records system.
Hospital may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract based on census changes.
Overtime applies for hours worked beyond 40 hours per week.
Any hours worked beyond 12 hours per day are invoiced at 1.5x (billing detail, not pay).

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience within the last year
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Experience with Cerner electronic health records system

Additional Information

Missed meals and breaks must be pre-approved by a supervisor to be compensated.
Housing can be challenging to find in the area; short-term options are available nearby.
Credentialing documents should be submitted in one batch for faster processing.
