Description

Registered Nurse Radiation Oncology

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, weekdays (36 hours/week)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Minimum 2 years of total travel nursing experience
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Job Description

Provide nursing care in a fast-paced radiation oncology clinic environment
Coordinate oncology patient care with interdisciplinary team members
Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team, both verbally and in writing
Deliver care to patients across various age groups, developmental stages, and cultural backgrounds
Manage chronic illnesses and comorbidities in oncology patients
Apply current knowledge of hematology/oncology, internal medicine, immunology, pharmacology, and community health
Maintain awareness of latest evidence-based oncology protocols and cultural sensitivity practices
Adapt quickly to changing clinical situations and maintain high organizational skills

Additional Information

Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility (radius rule)
