Description
Lab Tech
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM), 3x12-hour shifts, alternating weekends
Hours per Week: 36
Call: No call required
Scheduling: No 48-hour option, no block scheduling
Floating: Floating to lab duties required
Job Description
- Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosis and monitoring of diseases.
- Follow standardized procedures and prepare samples for testing.
- Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.
- Work involves limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Typically reports to a manager or supervisor.
- Familiarity with Chemistry, Hematology, and Blood Bank experience preferred.
- Use of Cerner EMR system.
- Scrub color: Gray.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Medical Lab Technician license in Tennessee.
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year.
- Certification as MLT, ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HHS.
- Completion of high school or its equivalent, or a bachelor's degree.
