Description

Ultrasonographer - Diagnostic Imaging

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including:
- Abdomen: Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, Renal (normal and pathology)
- Gynecological: Breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, pelvis (normal, pathology, post-menopausal, transvaginal, adult and pediatric)
- Obstetrics: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester; amniocentesis; complications; biophysical profile; gestational age; placental grading; abnormalities; IUGR; uterus/adnexa
- Neonatal: Congenital anomalies and neonatal head imaging
- Superficial structures: Abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum & testes, thyroid
- Vascular: Carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex
Procedures include aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative imaging
Equipment used: Canon i700 ultrasound machine, Meditech EMR, Fuji Synapse PACS
Floating to other units/departments as needed
40-hour shifts with call when appropriate

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
ARDMS certification
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Experience in an acute care setting

Additional Information

Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday; punctuality for this is mandatory
Dress code: Personal scrubs or healthcare professional attire
