Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist - Acute Care Hospital
Location: Walla Walla, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Position requires acute care experience (hard stop requirement).
- Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR) experience is highly preferred.
- The role involves floating between units.
- Weekend shifts required on a rotating 6-week basis.
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
- Patient ratio approximately 1:10.
- Charting system used: Epic.
- Facility type: Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center with 104 staffed beds.
- Scrub color: Any color allowed.
- Parking: No fee.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Washington.
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
- State-specific searches including Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search within 90 days of start.
- Education verification required.
- E-Verify attestation required.
- Social Security card and government-issued photo ID required.
- Additional state or facility-specific background checks may apply.
Additional Requirements
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
- Float policy acknowledgment required (may be required to float to other nearby facilities).
- Passport-style badge photo required prior to start.
- Epic training modules completion required within orientation week.
Work Environment & Other Details
- No on-call required.
- 48-hour workweek approval is not granted.
- Facility uses Epic electronic health record system.
- No parking fees for staff.
