Job Opportunity: Case Manager

Location: Eureka, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40


Job Description

  • Required to work every other weekend (EOW).
  • No call required.
  • Must have acute care experience.
  • Floating between like units may be required based on need.
  • Charting system: Epic.
  • Free parking on the first day; assignment parking provided during orientation.
  • Locals accepted.
  • Start date: ASAP.
  • First-time travelers accepted as a screen with clinical approval.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Acute Care Case Management, with at least some experience within the last year.
  • Acute Care experience required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
  • Immunizations and screenings required:
    • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted).
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required).
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
    • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted).
    • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies.
  • Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates.
  • Fit mask testing required for travel candidates, updated annually.

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
  • Must comply with floating policy acknowledgment.
  • Must submit a passport-style badge photo with neutral background.
  • Must provide all required state-specific background and license verifications as applicable.

Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not required.
  • Facility supports housing assistance for travelers struggling to find accommodations.
  • This position involves case management duties within an acute care setting.
