Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Deming, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide nursing care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Utilize critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to plan and deliver safe patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Position is for night shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year.
• One completed travel nursing assignment.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Additional Information

• This is a replacement travel contract to provide coverage while permanent staff recruitment continues.
• The facility operates on a pay-when-paid basis for vendors.
