Description

Registered Nurse – Med Surg – Nights

Location: Portales, New Mexico
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care in a rural community acute care hospital setting.
Night shift hours: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Typical patient ratio: 5:1.
Tele-intensivist support available.
Occasional charge nurse responsibilities.
Pediatric admissions possible.
Bilingual skills are helpful but not required.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience, with recent Med Surg experience within the last year.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
Experience in charge nurse roles.

Additional Information

Prior travel experience is not required.
