Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Assignment

Location: Roswell, New Mexico
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other week (EOW)
Hours per week: 36

Job Description

• Work on a General Medical-Surgical unit with some post-op orthopedic and general surgery patients.
• Occasional floating to ICU to care for Med Surg Overflow or Step Down patients.
• Call required but rarely needed; no additional call beyond scheduled shifts.
• Patient ratio typically 1:6, sometimes up to 1:7.
• Use of Cerner EMR and Mindray Telemetry System.
• Scrubs color: Royal Blue.
• Must be able to float to other areas as needed and appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Start date: ASAP, within 4 weeks of submission.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated if days vary week to week.
• 1-week maximum return-to-office (RTO) approved.
• Floating and call duties are minimal but expected as needed.

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• This is a travel contract position.
• Candidates must be prepared for night shifts and occasional floating.
