Description

Radiology Technologist – Acute Care

Location: Bozeman, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Overnight, week on/week off
Hours per Week: 36

Position Summary

Provide diagnostic imaging services including X-rays to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Perform radiographic exams, fluoroscopic procedures, and related techniques in various hospital settings such as OR, Trauma, NICU, CCU, and ED.

Required Qualifications

Valid Radiology Technologist license in Montana
Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification

Key Responsibilities

Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as requested
Assist with US-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, arthrocentesis, and fluoroscopically guided PICC placements
Provide patient education on preparation and post-care for radiology procedures
Complete documentation for exam interpretation, reporting, archiving, and billing
Retrieve and verify written orders and related health information
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with education requirements
Educate radiography students, new hires, and peers on diagnostic and operative procedures

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; assist patients and carry equipment
Work extended hours including sitting, walking, or standing for 8+ hours daily
Flexible schedule with potential for weekend, after-hours, and on-call shifts
Handle stressful and emotionally challenging situations with professionalism and tact
Perform repetitive tasks as required

Emotionally challenging interactions with patients and families

Additional Information

Candidates must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered
Facility may cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances
