Description
Radiology Technologist – Acute Care
Location: Bozeman, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Overnight, week on/week off
Hours per Week: 36
Position Summary
Provide diagnostic imaging services including X-rays to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Perform radiographic exams, fluoroscopic procedures, and related techniques in various hospital settings such as OR, Trauma, NICU, CCU, and ED.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Montana
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as requested
- Assist with US-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, arthrocentesis, and fluoroscopically guided PICC placements
- Provide patient education on preparation and post-care for radiology procedures
- Complete documentation for exam interpretation, reporting, archiving, and billing
- Retrieve and verify written orders and related health information
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with education requirements
- Educate radiography students, new hires, and peers on diagnostic and operative procedures
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; assist patients and carry equipment
- Work extended hours including sitting, walking, or standing for 8+ hours daily
- Flexible schedule with potential for weekend, after-hours, and on-call shifts
- Handle stressful and emotionally challenging situations with professionalism and tact
- Perform repetitive tasks as required

Additional Information
- Candidates must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered
- Facility may cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances
