Job Opportunity: Endoscopy/GI Tech

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Assist nursing staff and physicians during endoscopic procedures such as polypectomy, biopsies, screening exams, ERCP, and dilations.
• Efficiently operate and troubleshoot endoscopic equipment.
• Disinfect and process endoscopic instruments.
• Set up procedure rooms and stock supplies and equipment.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Assist patients with dressing and ambulation as directed by nursing staff.
• Apply EKG monitors, blood pressure cuffs, and pulse oximetry prior to procedures.
• Work 4 shifts per week, each 10 hours, with rotating on-call duties.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician, including experience within the last year.

Additional Requirements

• Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility location.
• Compliance with Colorado CAPS registration requirements (may take up to two weeks to obtain).
• Accurate Social Security Number and Date of Birth must be provided to avoid onboarding delays.

Schedule

• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each.
• Rotating call schedule.

Experience

• 2 years of endoscopy experience required.
• Advanced case endoscopy experience required (ability to assist with high-level, complex cases).
