Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Work exclusively in the Cath Lab (no float out)
• No call, no weekends
• Position located in the Heart Hospital

Required Qualifications

• Electrophysiology Technician with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification required
• CCI certification required
• New Mexico state license required (pending acceptable)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification as applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, MAB, NIH Stroke, CPI) required as applicable
• National Tech Certification verification required as applicable
• Primary source online verification of state license required
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit test within 1 year of start, must be renewed annually (fit test done onsite)
• Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start (medical exemptions must be approved)
• Immunization or positive titer documentation required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 2-step TB test, QGOLD, or TSPOT within 1 year of start (with follow-up requirements if positive)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
• Education verification required (highest level of education)
• Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
• Photo headshot required for badge
• Completion of employment application/resume required
• Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
• 7-year work history verification required

Additional Notes

• Orientation includes safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable (minimum 80% score)
• Color blindness testing required (online version acceptable)
• Core compliance testing required annually for subcontractors
• Employee vehicle registration form must be completed prior to start
