Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Acute Care Hospital
Location
- Apple Valley, California

Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)
- 40 hours per week
- Hybrid setting: primarily inpatient acute care with 1-3 adult outpatient cases per day

Job Description
- Provide Speech Language Pathology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Must be able to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies
- No call or weekend coverage required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in California
- Minimum 3 years of Speech Language Pathologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Current BLS certification
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
- Ability to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- Education verification required
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
- 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola, Mumps, and Rubella (declination accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer (declination accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months (instant acceptable)
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Fit mask test required for travel candidates, updated annually
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background
Additional Notes
- Local radius for assignment is 50 miles
- Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
- No pending license accepted; license must be active at time of submission
- Return to office (RTO) restrictions must be included at time of submission
