Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Acute Care Hospital

• Day shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)
• 40 hours per week
• Hybrid setting: primarily inpatient acute care with 1-3 adult outpatient cases per day

Job Description

• Provide Speech Language Pathology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Must be able to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies
• No call or weekend coverage required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in California
• Minimum 3 years of Speech Language Pathologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Current BLS certification
• CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
• Ability to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card (as applicable)
• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
• Education verification required
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
  • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola, Mumps, and Rubella (declination accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer (declination accepted)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months (instant acceptable)
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
• Fit mask test required for travel candidates, updated annually
• Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
• Passport-style badge photo with neutral background

Additional Notes

• Local radius for assignment is 50 miles
• Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
• No pending license accepted; license must be active at time of submission
• Return to office (RTO) restrictions must be included at time of submission
