Job Opportunity: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Plainview, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Multispecialty role requiring experience in:

  • General ultrasound
  • Fetal ultrasound
  • OB (Obstetrics)
  • Breast ultrasound
  • Transvaginal ultrasound
  • Vascular ultrasound
  • Echocardiogram (adult echo, contrast echo, echo stress treadmill)
• No floating between units
• On-call required:

  • Monday to Friday, 5 PM – 8 AM
  • 24-hour coverage on Saturday and Sunday
• Weekends required on-call
• Patient ratio: 8:1
• Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

• 49 staffed beds
• Level IV Trauma Center
• Free parking in any unrestricted space

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist
• Echo Technologist experience within the last year
• Experience as a Breast Sonographer
• Experience in Fetal Echocardiography
• Experience as an OB Technician
• Experience as a Vascular Sonographer

Experience Requirements

• Must have comprehensive multispecialty ultrasound and echocardiogram experience as listed above

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer or declination)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)

Additional Requirements

• Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required prior to start
• References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
• Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
• Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
• Float policy acknowledgement: May be required to float to other nearby facilities within the system
• On-call and weekend availability required as specified
