Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: Lamar, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist.
• Implement selected components of patient interventions, obtain data related to interventions, and modify interventions to progress patients or ensure safety and comfort.
• Assist in treatment of patients of all ages (newborns to elderly) with medical or health-related conditions limiting movement and functional activities.
• Patient care settings include inpatient, outpatient, and home health.
• Work environment includes a newly built, state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Gymnasium that is clean, well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned.
• Possible exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Colorado
• Physical Therapy Assistant with 4 years of experience
• Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Information

• Reports directly to the Rehabilitation Manager.
• Mental demands include astute communication with employees, physicians, visitors, administration, and the public.
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
