Job Description
- Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) with PET experience highly preferred.
- Variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
- Shift options: 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts (day shift 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM).
- Call required post-shift and rotating weekends; travelers may be exempt from call depending on experience.
- Scheduling requests due at time of submission; no outside employment scheduling requests considered.
- Local radius for travel is 50 miles.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (N) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Call and Weekend Requirements
- Call required post-shift and rotating weekends.
- Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs.
Facility Type
- Acute Care Hospital with Magnet recognition.
- Total staffed beds: 426.
- Free parking available.
Required Documentation and Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Social Security Card (as applicable).
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Immunizations and health requirements including:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season.
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted.
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates (updated annually).
- Respiratory safety clearance required for travel candidates (annual).
- References: Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment.
- Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.
Additional Requirements
- Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance.
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via learning management system.
- Badge photo required prior to start.
- EPIC training modules must be completed as assigned.
