Location

- Outpatient Endoscopy Center

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
- Guaranteed hours with possible cancellation of up to 1 shift every 2 weeks
Job Description
- Senior Endoscopy Technician role requiring strong scope reprocessing skills
- Perform procedures including upper endoscopies, colonoscopies, polypectomy, biopsy, PEG placement, banding, balloon dilation, Bravo, X-track
- Handle high-level disinfection of procedural equipment
- Work collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff
- Daily procedure volume: 34-36 with 3 gastroenterologists
- Patient population includes ASA physical status classifications 1, 2, and 3
- Facility has 3 procedure rooms
- Experience with colonoscopes, EGD scopes, EBUS, EUS, enteroscopes, ERCP scopes, fiber optics, and flex sigmoidoscopes required
- Preferred experience with Olympus processor CV-190, Olympus Light Source CLV-190, CO2 insufflator and tanks, Erbe cautery and electrosurgical unit, Olympus OER Pro, and high-level disinfection scope reprocessing
- EPIC and ProVation software experience preferred
- Back table setup and room setup experience preferred
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment as an Endoscopy Technician
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong scope reprocessing skills
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
- Education verification required
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start
- Immunizations and health requirements including:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Fit mask test required for travel candidates, updated annually
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required

- No floating to sister facilities required
- No weekend or holiday shifts
- Facility pays for parking
- Patient-facing role requiring compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Candidates must have prior endoscopy experience; first-time travelers are not accepted
