Occupational Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

Location: Walla Walla, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center
  • Total Staffed Beds: 104
  • Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Floating: Yes, may float between units
  • On-call: No
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes, rotating on a 6-week basis
  • Block Schedules: No
  • Patient Ratio: 1:10
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Scrub Color: Any color allowed
  • Parking: No fee

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Washington
  • Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience within the last year

Additional Requirements

  • Reduced Non-Billable Orientation: 0 hours (standard is 40 hours)
  • Must acknowledge and comply with float policy (may float to other facilities within reasonable distance)
  • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
  • Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
  • Epic training modules required and must be completed within a week of orientation
  • WA Multi-State Licensed Nurses Demographic Attestation required if applicable
  • Physical and health documents must be current and uploaded with appropriate expiration dates

Notes

  • No on-call required
  • 48-hour workweek approval is not granted
  • Fit mask testing required onsite if no valid record within 1 year
  • Background checks and education verifications are strictly enforced with specific timelines and conditions for returning candidates
  • Some certifications and competencies depend on clinical track and may be waived for non-clinical or remote roles (not applicable here)

This position is ideal for Occupational Therapists with acute care experience who hold a valid Washington license and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, acute care hospital environment with floating responsibilities and weekend rotations.
