Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel)

Location: San Marcos, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in a cardiac catheterization lab setting.
• Manage clinical situations by making appropriate assignments and delegating to other care providers.
• Deliver care consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Work Schedule

• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• On-call requirement: STEMI call 16-20 days out of every 6 weeks
• Weekend on-call: 3 weekends out of every 6

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, with experience within the last year

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification

Additional Notes

• This is a full-time travel nursing position.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
