Job Summary

• Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) / PET Tech
• Shift Options: 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts (day shift, typically 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM)
• Variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
• Call required post-shift and rotating weekends; call expectations may vary based on experience
• Weekend shifts may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
• Scheduling requests due at time of submission; outside employment scheduling requests will not be considered
• Local radius for assignment: 50 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification
• BLS certification

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card (as applicable)
• Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
• Education Verification (3rd party verification required)
• Employment Application covering at least last 5 years of employment
• Work History Verification if reference exceptions are requested
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
• Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
  • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
  • Flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
• Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates
• Fit Mask Testing required for travel candidates, updated annually (not required for Medical Lab Scientists or Sterile Processing Techs)

Training & Competency Requirements

• Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
• Competency exams required by specialty
• Epic training modules required; candidates must claim Epic account and complete assigned modules promptly

• Float Policy: Acknowledgement required; traveler may be required to float to other nearby facilities
• Scheduling requests related to outside employment will not be accommodated
• Candidates must submit all required documentation and certifications prior to start
• Background checks and other compliance documents must be current and meet facility standards
