X-Ray Technologist (Diagnostic Imaging) - Janesville, Wisconsin

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, C-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Review patient clinical history to ensure appropriate orders and labs are within range; consult with radiologist as needed.
• Provide patient education regarding procedures.
• Select and operate imaging equipment and accessories to perform procedures successfully.
• Position patients to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest while respecting patient comfort and ability.
• Initiate basic life support when necessary.
• Determine radiographic technique and exposure factors following ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Apply radiation protection principles to protect patients, self, and others.
• Report and document X-ray safety incidents or adverse events per protocol.
• Process images, review for proper identification and quality control.
• Use radiology information systems (including PACS) to complete records, submit images, and assist with medical record/image sharing as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technician license in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year.
• ARRT Radiography registration.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Provider-level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
