X-Ray Technologist (Diagnostic Imaging) – Janesville, Wisconsin

Job Type

• Contract position
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Hours per week: 40

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
• Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Job Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, C-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures
• Review patient clinical history to ensure appropriate orders and labs; consult radiologist as needed
• Provide patient education regarding procedures
• Select and operate imaging equipment and accessories to perform procedures successfully
• Position patients to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest while respecting patient comfort and ability
• Initiate basic life support when necessary
• Determine radiographic technique and exposure factors following ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure
• Apply radiation protection principles to protect patient, self, and others
• Report and document X-ray safety incidents or adverse events per protocol
• Process images, review for proper identification and quality control
• Use radiology information systems (including PACS) to complete records and reports, and submit images for physician review and interpretation
• Assist with medical record and image sharing as necessary
