Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours (variable schedule)
• Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed (60 hours per 2 weeks; may be called off for 1 shift every 2 weeks)
• On-Call: 24/7 hospital call coverage shared among team; 1 weekend on-call per month (no weekend shifts, only on-call)
• Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• Locals: Not accepted; candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility
• Orientation: Reduced Non-Billable Orientation (0 hours vs. standard 40 hours)
• First Timers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

• EEG Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Recent EEG Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS certification (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
• REEGT (Registered EEG Technologist) certification
• Must be willing to cover 1 weekend on-call per month
• Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
• Employment application must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates

Licensure & Certifications

• Must hold required professional license and certifications for EEG Tech role
• BLS and REEGT certifications mandatory
• Additional certifications as required per unit/clinical track (verify with unit details)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
• Drug screen (9 panel) within 12 months of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TDAP (within 10 years or declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (Alaska placements require positive titer and vaccine series)
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
• Respirator Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates (RespSafety virtual questionnaire)
• WA and AK state-specific background and fingerprinting requirements apply if applicable

Additional Requirements

• Must complete annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
• Must provide passport-style badge photo with neutral background
• Must comply with facility float policy acknowledgment (may be required to float within reasonable distance)
• Must complete medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable
• Color blindness testing may be required on a unit basis
• Skills checklist required annually for applicable units

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
