Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
Weekend Requirement: Yes
On-Call Requirement: 10 out of 12 days per month, including weekends
Job Summary
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures as requested by physicians.
- Provide patient care during procedures and obtain diagnostic quality images for interpretation.
- Operate and maintain imaging and department equipment according to protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure radiation protection for patients, coworkers, and self.
- Maintain documentation and supplies in compliance with hospital policies.
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with cardiovascular and interventional technology.
- Provide on-call coverage after normal hours.
- Perform various Point of Care testing procedures.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New Mexico.
- ARRT certification.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification.
Experience
- One year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.
