Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age and needs of the patient population on the assigned unit. Ensures quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards. Demonstrates professionalism, respect, and effective communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Work Schedule

• Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• On-call requirement: 1-2 weekends per month (8-10 days per month)
• No floating to other units

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments and establish care priorities
• Re-assess patients regularly to monitor progress and intervene as needed
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Participate in patient and family education and discharge planning
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures
• Delegate and coordinate unit work assignments to ensure completion of patient care tasks
• Participate in orientation of new staff and students
• Serve as a resource to visitors, physicians, and staff
• Promote a positive and professional work environment
• Exhibit behaviors that support patient satisfaction, confidentiality, and hospital integrity
• Adapt to changes in work environment and schedule with flexibility
• Maintain positive attendance and communicate absences in advance
• Adhere to all patient and environmental safety policies

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
