Outpatient Chemotherapy/Infusion RN - Montana
Job Details
- Location: Sidney, Montana
- Employment Type: Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday
- Hours per Week: 32
Job Description
- Provide professional oncology nursing care in an outpatient chemotherapy infusion setting.
- Work as part of the cancer care team in the infusion area.
- Deliver care adhering to cancer care policies, nursing procedures, quality improvement, safety, and infection control standards.
- Responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient health history
- Managing physician orders and in-office procedures
- Educating patients and families
- Administering chemotherapy
- Managing cancer symptoms
- Monitoring patients’ physical and emotional well-being through frequent visits
- Acting as primary communication conduit between patients and physicians
- Providing direct nursing care including triage of patient care needs
- Applying clinical knowledge, judgment, and decision-making skills to patient care issues
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana
- Minimum 2 years of Hematology/Oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system

- This position requires strong clinical judgment and communication skills within oncology infusion nursing.
