Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Alabaster, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)
Number of Openings: 1
Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, Days (07:00 - 17:30)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Hours: Call only
Call Requirements: 1 weekend every 4th weekend plus at least 1 weekday call per week
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Unit Size: 4 Cath Lab rooms
Equipment Used: Philips X-ray, Merge HEMO Charting
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, with experience within the last year

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Electrophysiology (EP) procedures is a plus

Work Environment & Culture

Patient Population: Cardiology patients in Cath Lab setting
Dress Code: Scrubs only (Ceil Blue or Navy)
Unacceptable Attire: Anything other than scrubs

No float requirements
Facility is a Joint Commission accredited hospital with a strong focus on cardiovascular care, including heart attack, heart failure, and stroke treatment
The hospital offers a broad range of specialty services including emergency care, neurological care, orthopedics, surgical care, and wound care among others
