MRI Technologist - Travel Position
Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures, support other imaging technologists, and facilitate efficient patient flow. Troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in quality assurance (QA), and resolve issues related to image processing and archiving. Provide basic MRI patient screening and ensure MRI safety. Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts and/or at different campuses as needed. Maintain imaging competencies and align behavior and communication with organizational values.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to core values and departmental policies including professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability.
- Collaborate with management, coworkers, and physicians to promote staff growth and physician satisfaction.
- Adapt patient assessment and care methods to meet unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and developmental needs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Perform examinations and procedures to assist patient throughput within scope of licensure and competencies.
- Ensure exams are correctly scanned and stored in PACS; follow PACS downtime procedures as a Superuser and escalate issues as needed.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions with appropriate follow-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist within the last year.
- Experience in an Acute Care setting.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Work Schedule
- Multiple shifts available, including weekend shifts (Saturday & Sunday 7 AM - 11 PM, on-call 11 PM - 7 AM).
- Full-time travel assignment.
Additional Information
- This is a backfill/replacement travel assignment.
- Must demonstrate flexibility to work other shifts and locations as needed.
