Registered Nurse – Skilled Nursing
Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 0.9 FTE day shift (06:30 AM – 07:00 PM), every third weekend and holiday rotation
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide nursing care on Skilled Nursing units using the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws.
- Document patient care according to standards.
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy, including patient and family education.
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
- Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately.
- May be asked to float to other inpatient units based on census needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Minimum of 1 year of Skilled Nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
