- Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
Job Description
- Acute Care Physical Therapist role in an acute care hospital setting
- Responsibilities include:
- Acute care therapy interventions
- Home exercise programs
- Lifting and transfer techniques
- Patient and family education
- Care in ER, ICU, geriatrics, medical-surgical, orthopedics
- Range of motion therapies (AROM/AAROM/PROM)
- Use of assistive devices and body mechanics
- Pain assessment and skin integrity monitoring
- Strength testing and vital signs monitoring
- Patient evaluation, plan of care, reassessments, and discharge planning
- Short term goal setting
- Gait training and use of equipment such as crutches, gait belts, hospital beds, standard walkers, supplemental oxygen
- Care for patients with COPD, CHF, CABG, MI, hip and knee injuries, total hip and knee replacements, and post-stroke rehabilitation

Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
