Job Opportunity: Infusion Registered Nurse

Location: Eureka, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Patient Load: Approximately 32 visits per day
  • Rooms/Beds: 3 rooms / 6 beds
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes, potential for weekend coverage
  • Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
  • First Time Traveler: Yes, if outpatient infusion experience is present
  • License: California RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
  • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 7 days

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in California
  • Minimum of 1 year infusion experience, with infusion experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience in an outpatient setting

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
  • Immunizations/Vaccinations:
    • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or signed declination
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
    • Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
    • Hepatitis B – Documentation of vaccination series or signed declination
    • Seasonal Flu Vaccine during flu season or signed declination
    • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to infection prevention measures
  • Tuberculosis Screening: Negative TB test (IGRA/TSPOT, QGold, or 2 PPDs) within 12 months, updated annually; chest x-ray if positive history
  • Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable); negative results required
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required annually for respirator use (travel only)
  • Fit Mask Testing: Required for travel candidates, updated annually; may be completed onsite

Background and Verification Requirements

  • Background Check: Within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must include SSN trace, death master index, nationwide and county checks, sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, education verification, MVR (if home health), and international background if applicable
  • Education Verification: Required for nursing degree; international education requires diploma/transcripts or CES report
  • NURSYS Verification: Required for all RNs to verify license status and past actions
  • Employment History Verification: Required if exceptions to references are requested; minimum 5 years verified work history
  • State-Specific Checks: Not applicable for California but required for other states if applicable

Additional Requirements

  • Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required
  • Float Policy: Acknowledgement required; may be asked to float to other nearby facilities
  • Annual Regulatory Training: Completion of required Workramp modules annually, including core, specialty-specific, and regional modules as applicable
  • Epic Training: May be required depending on facility; transcripts must be submitted and verified
