EEG Tech - Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (variable schedule)
- Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed (60 hours per 2 weeks)
- On-Call: 24-hour call coverage shared among team, 1 weekend per month on call only
- Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Locals: Not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility

- Acute hospital with 407 staffed beds
- Magnet facility, Level II Trauma center
- Uses Epic for charting
- Free parking provided
- Scrubs provided
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an EEG Technologist
- EEG Technologist experience within the last year
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Registered EEG Technologist (REEGT) certification
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
- Drug screening (9 panel) within 12 months of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- TDAP (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (Alaska placements require positive titer and vaccine series)
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
- Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Drug screen must be THC/marijuana free; instants acceptable with attestation
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years required
Additional Requirements
- Must complete annual regulatory and facility-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Must provide government-issued photo ID and Social Security card as applicable
- Must comply with state-specific background and licensing checks (including fingerprinting for Alaska)
- Passport-style badge photo required for facility badge issuance
- Must complete Epic training modules as required by facility
- Must comply with on-call and weekend coverage requirements
