Registered Nurse – Orthopedics (Travel/Contract)
Location: Pocatello, Idaho
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 – 7:15)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide specialized nursing care to orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries or injuries and managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
- Deliver care using the nursing process according to hospital policies and protocols.
- Respond to life-threatening situations with appropriate interventions.
- Organize care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, evaluating, and communicating with providers and leadership.
- Patient ratio approximately 1:5 on a 10-bed unit.
- Unit accepts first-time travel nurses.
- 100-mile radius rule applies; no local candidates considered.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year.
- Orthopedics nursing experience.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
