Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Jefferson City, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Provide triage, critical thinking, and assessment skills in the Emergency Department.
Perform nursing duties including IV/IO insertion, chest tube management, catheterization, and management of critical care drips.
Utilize cardiac monitoring and critical care assessment skills.
Patient ratio approximately 4:1 (variable).
Unit size: 16 beds.
Electronic Medical Records systems used: FirstNet and Cerner.
Scrub color: Royal Blue.
No call, no floating, no 48-hour shifts.
Request time off (RTO) must be submitted in advance and made up at the end of the contract; blackout period on Labor Day.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
Competency in critical care assessment and management
Cardiac monitoring competency
Comfortability with critical care drips
