Unit Information
- Operating Room (OR), 29 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability
- Equipment includes standard OR tools plus 5 Da Vinci Robots, Mako, and Velys Robots
- Documentation system: Cerner
- Scheduling is flexible; call required
Procedures and Specialties Supported
- Ortho Trauma, Orthopedics, Spine, Neurosurgery, Gynecology, Urology, General Surgery, Robotics, Vascular, Pediatrics, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, Oral-Maxillofacial (OMF), Dental, Eye Trauma
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a First Assist, including experience within the last year
- OR First Assist Certification
- Certified First Assistant (CFA)
- Certified Surgical Technologist First Assistant (CSTFA)
- Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
- Experience in Ortho Trauma, Vascular Surgery, and Urology
