Registered Nurse - Home Health

Location: Asheville, North Carolina (Franklin/Macon County area)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Provide nursing care in a home health setting with patient visits averaging 5-6 per day.
Call requirements: every 6-7 weeks for one week at night (5pm-8am) including that weekend. No night visits are made from the office.
Work schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
Documentation system used: HCHB.
Patient care involves home health and hospice experience.
Must have a reliable vehicle for patient visits.
Dress code: Nursing scrubs in navy blue or navy/white.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Hospice experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Valid Driver's License

Additional Information

The unit serves approximately 100 patients.
Home health experience is essential; hospice experience is preferred.
The work environment includes unit secretaries and tech support availability.
