Unit: Ortho Trauma Unit / Med Surg
Floor: 4th floor, A tower
Unit size: 32 beds

Job Type

Travel assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36

Unit Information

Patient ratio: 1:6
Equipment used: Baxter IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital signs machines
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech
Floating: May float to Surgical Telemetry Unit or Inpatient Rehab
On-call: Not required
Department culture: Supportive team environment with admission/discharge team assistance

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse license (RN)
BLS certification
Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience

Preferred Qualifications

Charge nurse experience
Preceptor experience

Typical Procedures

Patient ambulation
Wound care as needed
