Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Position
Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Number of Beds: 24
- Number of Staff: 50
- Shifts:
- Day Shift: 1 CNC, 12 RNs, 1 Unit Secretary, 1-3 sitters/week
- Night Shift: 1 CNC, 12 RNs, 1-3 sitters/week
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
- Equipment Used: Ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, Impella devices, Balloon pumps
- Typical Procedures: Intubation, Central line placement, Bronchoscopy, External Ventricular Drains (EVDs), Intracranial Pressure (ICP) monitoring, Swan catheter management, Pacemakers, Bolts
- EMR system used (not specified)
- Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Work Schedule & Expectations
- Work every other weekend
- May be placed on call for the shift they are scheduled to work if not needed, with no additional call expectations beyond that shift

- May float to Doctors ICU as needed
