Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location

City: Fullerton, California

Employment Type

Travel / Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs
Scheduling requests due to additional employment will not be considered
Open to block scheduling at manager’s discretion
Must be open to working weekends; likely to exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs

Unit and Patient Care

Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients
Float requirement: May need to float between Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby units

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1.5 years of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
Experience performing sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
AWHONN Advanced certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Experience with Epic electronic medical record system

Free parking available
Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
On-call: Not required

This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs who meet the certification and skill requirements and are comfortable working night shifts with weekend coverage.
