Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Travel contract
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Maternal Infant Unit
Beds: 24
Staff: 71 total
Floor: 3rd, Atrium building
Patient Ratios:
- Labor: 1:1 (most of the time)
- Post-partum: 5-6:1
- Nursery: 5-6:1
Typical procedures: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum care, newborn and post-partum care
Equipment: GE fetal monitors
EMR system: Meditech, CPN

Schedule

36 hours per week
Every third weekend required
12 hours of on-call per 4-week schedule

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Labor and Delivery experience (minimum 2 years), including experience within the last year
BLS certification
ACLS certification
NRP certification
AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years labor experience in LDRP units with high birth volumes

Dress Code

Navy blue scrubs
