Registered Nurse – Skilled Nursing
Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Shift: 0.9 FTE day shift (06:30 AM – 07:00 PM), every third weekend and holiday rotation
Hours per Week: 36
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care in Skilled Nursing units. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, administering medications and treatments, documenting care, and developing individualized patient care plans. The nurse may be required to float to other inpatient units based on census needs.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to care for patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and state laws.
- Document patient care according to standards.
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education.
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patient care continuity.
- Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
- Minimum of 1 year of Skilled Nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

- Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
