Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Travel)
Location
- Dallas, Texas
Contract Details
- Travel assignment
- Length: 8 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: Weekend, every other weekend
- Call requirements: Yes
- 36 guaranteed hours only; 48 hours not approved
- No time off allowed during FIFA event from 06/14 to 07/14

- Adult Emergency Room (ER)
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Floating: As needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention Training)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
- Specialty/unit certifications in Emergency Nursing preferred
Dress Code and Appearance
- Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
- Nails must be clean and healthy; artificial nails, gel, or similar enhancements are not allowed
- Hair must be neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors
- Hair shoulder length or longer must be pulled back when working in the lab
- Facial hair (beards, mustaches, sideburns) must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos should be covered whenever possible; uncovered tattoos will be addressed individually
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited (e.g., nose rings, tongue rings)
