Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU Travel Position

Location: Draper, Utah
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Beds: 11 bays, 6 Operating Rooms (ORs)
Staff: Typically 1 RN per OR; varies with surgery schedule
Shift for Traveler: Varies between 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Equipment: Standard PACU equipment
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Epic
On-Call Requirements: 4 call shifts per 4-week period
- Call shifts are either 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend Requirements: Only on-call shifts; ORs are closed on weekends

Gynecology (GYN)
Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
General Surgery

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
At least 1 year of experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
At least 1 year of experience in Emergency Department (ED)/Emergency Room (ER)
Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Additional Information

Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs, hospital-issued
Call coverage Monday through Friday (7 PM – 7 AM) and weekends (7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM)
ORs are closed on weekends; only on-call coverage required during weekends
