Radiologic Technologist - Interventional Radiology
Location: Savannah, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit & Work Environment
- Unit: Angiography / Interventional Radiology (IR) Labs
- Number of Beds: 3 Angiography Labs (2 Dedicated IR Labs, 1 Hybrid OR)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Staffing: Teams typically include Lead Tech, RN, ARRT/RTR, RCIS (3-4 person teams; ideally 2 Techs and 2 RNs)
- Equipment Used: IVUS, Shockwave, Angio Jet, Jet Stream
- Documentation System: EPIC Cupid
- Scheduling: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each, with on-call requirements
- Dress Code: Navy blue and black uniform for Techs
- Patient Population: High acuity, including Level 1 Trauma and Certified Stroke Center patients
Required Qualifications
- Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
- Current ARRT certification
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Critical care drip (gtt) management
Procedures Performed
- Permcath placement
- Port placement
- Thrombectomy
- Atherectomy
- Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TVAR)
- Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS)
- Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
- Pulmonary Embolism (PE) interventions
- Stroke and trauma-related procedures

- The unit is part of a Level 1 Trauma Center and a Certified Stroke Center
- High acuity patient population requiring advanced critical care skills
- Supportive team environment with experienced staff
- Opportunity to work with advanced interventional equipment and technology
- 36 hours per week schedule
