Perioperative / PACU RN - Contract Opportunity
Location: Pagosa Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Weekdays, either five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days
Job Summary
- Provide safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care for surgical patients throughout the perioperative process (pre-operative, intra-operative, post-operative phases).
- Support, educate, and provide direct care to patients.
- Act as a liaison between the surgical team and patient families/support systems.
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team using a multidisciplinary approach.
- May serve as Circulating Nurse, 1st Scrub (Instrument) Nurse, and/or 2nd Scrub (Assistant) Nurse depending on experience and training.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
- Experience in Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Lab
- Experience with orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT surgical procedures, and interventional pain management
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Current BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- CNOR certification
Skills
- Experience with Cerner EHR system
Additional Information
- No prior travel experience explicitly required
- Work schedule offers flexibility between 8-hour and 10-hour weekday shifts
