Psychologist - Psychiatry
Location: Falls Church, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Unit Information
- Unit: Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
- Number of Beds: 10 (expanding to 20 after temp staff training)
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Staffing: RN, manager, and mental health clinician; unit secretaries and tech support available
- Equipment: Computer-based documentation system (Meditech Expanse)
- Floating Policy: May float if needed or use flex time
- Dress Code: Business casual
Required Qualifications
- Valid Psychologist license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Psychologist, including experience within the last year
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training
- Experience providing clinical services to an outpatient population
- Experience in discharge planning
- Mental health experience
Additional Information
- The unit offers training for CPI and CPR certifications if not already held
