Physical Therapist Assistant
Location: Lamar, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist.
- Implement selected components of patient interventions, obtain data related to treatments, and modify interventions to progress patients or ensure safety and comfort.
- Assist in treating individuals of all ages with medical or health-related conditions limiting movement and functional activities.
- Patient care settings include inpatient, outpatient, and home health.
- Work environment includes a newly built, well-equipped Rehabilitation Gymnasium.
- Possible exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Colorado
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, including experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional Information
- Reports directly to the Rehabilitation Manager.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Mental demands include astute communication and independent judgment.
No prior travel experience required.
