**Join Our Dynamic Team as an Acute Med/Surg Tele RN!** **Job Description:** - **Position:** Acute Med/Surg Tele RN - **Location:** Central Vermont Medical Center, Berlin, VT - **Unit:** Med-Surg with Telemetry - **Beds in Facility:** 122 - **Unit Beds:** 51 - **Shift:** 12-hour shifts with opportunities for extra 8-hour shifts - **Schedule:** Self-scheduling; no block schedules; published in advance **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide exceptional care to patients with telemetry needs, including: - NG tube insertion - Peripheral IV insertion - Telemetry strip interpretation at the bedside - Collaborate effectively with a tight-knit, supportive team - Work with a diverse patient population, including post-op orthopedic, urology, GI patients, and more **Requirements:** - Valid AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (NIHSS prior to starting) - Preferred: Telemetry certification - Minimum of 5 years of med/surg telemetry experience OR 3 years of telemetry experience - Complete 2 travel assignments in 300+ bed facilities OR prior experience at any UVMHN acute care facility - EPIC experience within the last 2 years (non-negotiable) - Must have reliable transportation (personal or rental vehicle recommended) **Work Environment:** - Nurse-to-patient ratio: 3-5 days, 4-6 nights - Ancillary support available: - CNA/PCT staff: 1:8-10 ratio - Unit secretary available from 6 AM to 10 PM - Orientation: 1-2 precepted shifts in addition to time with educators before patient contact - Team-based approach to patient care, with nurses and LNAs collaborating closely **Dress Code:** - Wear your own scrubs or use provided scrubs - Professional appearance with closed-toe non-skid shoes - Minimal jewelry and no artificial nails **Unit Specific Procedures:** - Team-oriented unit culture emphasizing collaboration to provide seamless patient care - Respiratory support available 24/7 - Anesthesia support available 24/7 **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
